330 ml bottle into tulip. Pours dark red-brown color with a huge head at first but afterward it was fully poured it was 2 fingers of dense light tan head with amazing retention that reduces to a lacing cap. Aromas of molasses, roasted malt, toffee, honey, caramel, and some dark fruits. Some very pronounced aromas and well balanced; quite nice. Taste of molasses, caramel, toffee, coffee, roasted malt, and honey. Not too much bitterness here, but there is a slight amount that shows up on the finish that lingers with molasses and roasted flavors. No alcohol was noticed at all in taste or finish. Medium carbonation and body. Very smooth drinking and fairly creamy feeling as well. I don’t have much experience with doppelbocks, but this one was extremely drinkable and highly enjoyable. Definitely recommended.

Fantastic and highly enjoyable brew here. I will have to see what else Ayinger has to offer around me.
