4.2/5
AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
750 ml bottle into tulip, best by 02/2013. Pours cloudy amber color with a nice 2 finger dense white head with great retention and some decent lacing. Aromas of honey, orange, lemon, spices, and a bit of banana. Nice aromas with good strength. Taste of lemon, apple, banana, clove, spice, bread, and a bit of honey. Lots of apple, clove, spice, and bread linger on the finish for a bit. No bitterness noticed at all. Medium-full bodied with medium carbonation. Extremely drinkable for it’s alcohol level, very smooth. No alcohol in the taste an a small warming on the finish. Overall a fantastic Belgian pale ale. I still have yet to be disappointed by Ommegang.
More greatness from Ommegang. I haven't had any D'Achouffe in a while, and I have seen a few other ones around, might have to pick one up.
