22 ounce bottle into snifter, Bottled on 3-31-11. Pours opaque black color with a very dense 1 finger dark tan head with fantastic retention. Very nice lacing clinging to the glass. Aromas of big dark chocolate, coffee, roasted malt, oak, vanilla, and caramel. Very nice aromas, good strength as well. Taste of insanely rich chocolate, caramel, and deep roasted malt; with some coffee, oak, and spicy cayenne pepper in the back that brings some heat. Not much bitterness on the finish, but there are big notes of dark chocolate, cayenne pepper, and caramel lingering on the finish for a while. Some slight alcohol warming on the finish, but most of the warming on the back is from the pepper. Insanely creamy, thick, and slick mouthfeel with light-medium carbonation. Very drinkable for being 9.5%. For only being in the bottle for two months, this is ready to go already. I wonder what age will do to it. Absolutely incredible, and insanely rich flavor.

Absolutely incredible. Insanely rich, smooth, and thick for 9.5%. I wonder what an aged bottle would be like.
