12 ounce bottle. Pours dark brown color with a very dense 2 finger tan head with incredible retention that reduces to a fairly thick lacing cap. A small amount of lacing is left on the glass. Aromas of caramel, chocolate, roasted malt, coffee; with some spicy hop aromas as well. Some decent aromas here. Taste of roasted malt, chocolate, and some caramel and coffee. Decently strong bitterness on the finish that lingers with spicy, citrus, and roasted flavors. Finish is fairly dry as expected. Medium bodied with fairly high carbonation. Fairly creamy mouthfeel as well. No alcohol noticed in the taste or finish. Overall quite an enjoyable dry stout, I would have it again.
Good dry stout from Avery. Decent mouthfeel.
