3.1/5

AROMA
6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20

12 ounce bottle, batch 10150. Pours clear reddish-brown color with a small 1 finger foamy off white head with average retention. A foamy lacing ring shows up on the glass for a short while. Aromas of caramel, toffee, molasses, dark fruits, and a bit of booze. Taste of caramel, dark fruits, molasses, bread, and a bit of alcohol. Some bitterness and spiciness on the finish with some lingering sweet flavors of molasses and caramel. Some noticeable alcohol in the taste and a decent warming on the finish. Light-Medium bodied with medium-high carbonation, big prickly feel. Overall, this is decent, but has some flaws. I may have it again sometime in the future with a new batch.

Decent brew, but the alcohol bite in the flavor, along with the thin body and weak aroma really kill this one for me. May have to give this another shot someday.
