12 ounce bottle into snifter. Pours clear dark reddish brown color with a dense 1 finger light tan head with great retention that reduces to a very thin lacing cap. Some decent lacing on the glass. Aromas of dark fruits, bread, caramel, molasses, and some spiciness. Some interesting aromas with nice strength as well. Taste of breadiness, spices, and roasted malt on the front that leads to caramel and molasses in the back. Some decent spicy pine bitterness on the finish that lingers for a decent period of time. Medium-full body with medium carbonation. Some decent alcohol warming noticed on the finish. Overall, a very interesting beer from Lagunitas, but it is very tasty as well.
With the style title of "American Strong Ale", I knew this was going to be a little off the wall haha. Definitely enjoyable stuff.
