12 ounce bottle into tulip, best by 11/28/11. Pours crystal clear reddish orange color with 1-2 fingers of fairly dense light khaki head with good retention that reduces to a thin lacing cap. A small amount of decent lacing clings to the glass as well. Aromas of big caramel, light chocolate, molasses, bread, spices, and some light fruits. Decent aromas, but they are a bit weak. Taste of big caramel, spices, toasted malts, bread, molasses, and pepper. Light bitterness on the finish that lingers with bread, caramel, spices, and molasses notes. Medium carbonation and body, with a fairly creamy mouthfeel. No alcohol noticed except for a small warming on the finish. Very nice drinkability and smoothness. Overall, a very nice offering from Two brothers with a lot of flavor and smooth drinkability.
Another offering that is quite nice from Two Brothers. This one is classified as a Bière de Garde, which is a style I don't think I have experienced yet. However, I do have Ommegang and Jolly Pumpkin's renditions of the style in storage; so I may pull them out soon.
