12 ounce bottle into snifter, no bottle date but it is 2011. Pours hazy red orange color with a small dense light khaki head with good retention that reduces to a thin lacing cap. Some nice lacing clings to the glass as well. Aromas of big pumpkin, caramel, molasses, gingerbread, cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, and spices. Some very nice and strong aromas. Taste of cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, caramel, molasses, spices, bread, and pumpkin. No bitterness noticed; with lingering notes of caramel, molasses, cinnamon, and light pumpkin on the finish. Decent balance of flavors, but not what I was hoping for from the aromas. Alcohol is fairly well hidden with only a decent sized warming on the finish noticed. Medium carbonation and medium-full bodied; with a nice and fairly creamy mouthfeel. Drinks really smoothly for the alcohol level. Overall a very nice imperial pumpkin ale, I am glad I picked up a 4 pack.
