4.5/5
AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
22 ounce bottle, no bottling date but it was purchased a couple weeks ago. Pours hazy golden amber color with a nice 2-3 fingers of a dense off white head with fantastic retention that reduces to a lacing cap that lasts. Some nice lacing clings around the glass as well. Aromas of big pine, orange, grapefruit, lemon zest, pineapple, grass, and some spiciness. Some excellent and balanced aromas. Taste of big lemon zest, pine, orange, grapefruit, pineapple, caramel, bread, and spiciness. Nice amount of bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of pine, citrus, lemon zest, and spices on the finish. Medium carbonation and body with a nice creamy and smooth mouthfeel. No alcohol noticed at all in the taste or finish. Insane balance of flavor and bitterness. Fantastic drinkability. Overall this is an incredible harvest ale with perfect balance of flavors and is insanely drinkable.
Three Floyds seems to know it's way with hopping beers. Another fantastic IPA offering.
