12 ounce bottle with a bottling date of March 2011. Pours crystal clear reddish brown color with a fairly dense 2 finger tan head with good retention that reduces to a lacing cap. Some decent lacing clings to the glass as well. Aromas of light chocolate, a lot of vanilla, roasted malt, and not much else. Some pretty weak aromas, I was hoping for much more. Taste of roasted malt, light espresso, light vanilla, caramel, and some spiciness. Seems pretty watered down on the taste and is pretty uninteresting. Lingering notes of vanilla, coffee, and chocolate on the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a nice and creamy mouthfeel that drinks very smoothly. No alcohol noticed at all as expected for 5.5%. Overall it is an ok porter but it could use a lot more flavor.

Weak on flavor, but still drinkable stuff. I am going to have to try a few of their other offerings to see if they are better.
