4.4/5

AROMA
8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20

22 ounce bottle with gold foil into snifter, bottled 6/17/2011. Pours opaque black color with a small dense tan head with good retention that reduces to a thin cap that lasts for the entire glass. Some spotty lacing clings on the glass. Aromas of dark chocolate, caramel, molasses, roasted malt, yeast spice, banana, dark fruit, wood, anise, and coffee. Very nice aromas here, and some of the most interesting stout aromas I have had. Taste of huge dark chocolate, coffee, roasted malt, molasses, caramel, dark fruit, pepper, biscuit, wood, and yeast spices. Fair amount of bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of dark chocolate, coffee, molasses, caramel, dark fruit, and spicy yeast on the finish for a bit. Medium carbonation and fairly full bodied; with a huge creamy and lush mouthfeel that drinks super easily for being 9.5%. Alcohol is barely even there other than a slight warming well after the finish. Overall this is yet another home run stout in the Yeti lineup. Huge robust flavors and balance just like every other variation; with smooth drinkability as usual. Great divide really knows how to make exceptional stouts.

Another exceptional stout from Great Divide. I would expect nothing less from the Yeti series.
