22 ounce bottle into tulip, bottle 8/11/11. Pours slightly hazy golden amber color with 2 fingers of dense off white head with amazing retention that reduces to a thick lacing cap. A bit of nice lacing clings to the glass as well. Aromas of big pine, caramel, orange, tropical fruits, and spices. Very nice aromas here with good strength as well. Taste of big pine, grapefruit, orange, caramel, and big spiciness. Nice amount of bitterness present on the finish that lingers for a decent period of time with caramel, citrus, pine, and spice notes. Very nice balance of bitterness to sweetness. Medium carbonation and body, with a decently creamy mouthfeel. No alcohol noticed other than a very small warming after the finish. Extremely smooth and easy to drink as well. Overall an excellent and delicious IPA. Very hoppy and nicely balanced, with smooth drinkability.

An excellent imperial Pale Ale for sure. Glad I was able to try this one pretty fresh. It is quite spicy, and they use a large variety of different hops in this one.
