22 ounce bottle into snifter. Pours crystal clear ruby color with a fairly dense 1 finger off white head with decent retention. Aromas of dark fruits, cherries, honey, molasses, and spices. Taste of cherries, spices, honey, and some other dark fruits. Alcohol is really well hidden here, nothing noticed until the finish, which has some alcohol warming afterward. Really malty with no real bitterness noticed. Medium carbonation and body. Overall this is an extremely drinkable ale, not too complex however, but the flavors are pretty well put together. Definitely has a lot of flavor in it as was expected at 11%. A very good Christmas seasonal beer.
Definitely check this one out next season it is released. Tasty stuff.
